Another great pod Kris! Bilodeau will be a difference maker for sure. I saw Berke posted that he was at the SM pier yesterday on his ig stories so maybe he was listening to Savino and jogging back to westwood lol! Plus I didn't think about the injuries affecting him this past season and I think Mick said Berke was the best player in practice among the new players early in the season so would like to see him return too. But if he stays and we get Harris and a post, we need someone else to leave so who would that be? Or can a NIL deal be big enough that a player decides to walk on instead of getting a scholarship? Isn't Robert Horry's son Christian also walking on? He did pretty well in the league financially so maybe that had something to do with him walking on? Plus I heard Mick in the interview with Gottfried that you posted that a walk on is also going to contribute next season. I think Horry was a 3pt specialist from what I heard at the #1 ranked HS in the state so he might help in spot minutes too.
That's hilarious Berke posted the SM pier. Too funny. Not 100% sure Berke is going to stick around either. I haven't seen Christian play but I've heard good things. He's a solid value pickup as a walk-on. Something I'm watching is how Mack will respond once Harris is announced.
Mack seems like a good kid and a tough son of a gun. He really took a beating this year after jumping in head first. I wonder how his outside game will develop once his foot heals. Toughness is mandatory in the BI0.
Outstanding, KJ. Terrific mix of insight, stats, macro vs. micro, opinion, and perspective. Really informative and engaging. I mean, 60 minutes long and you didn't miss a beat. Probably your best one yet. Good job!
My favorite late season NBA deal always comes down to Jerry West trading the farm for Mychal Thompson in '87. I remember Chick saying he wore out his knees from getting down and praying so hard it would happen. It worked, big time, and we all lost our minds with joy.
Thank you Brian, truly appreciate the kind words. Nice pull on the Mychal Thompson deal! That's exactly the type of strategic stuff I was alluding to on the pod. Enjoy your Sunday bro
