The UCLA men's basketball program has received a signed National Letter of Intent from Trent Perry, a 6-foot-4 guard from Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles. Trent Perry is lead guard with four level scoring ability and above average playmaking skills. Perry was named a McDonald’s All-American and led Harvard-Westlake to two California Open Division State Championships. He was ranked as high as #27 in the country by ESPN. During his senior year, he averaged 18.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, shooting 47.2% from three. Harvard Westlake played one of the nation’s toughest schedule, and Perry was routinely matched up against some of the best prospects in the country. He was also named California High School Boys Basketball Player of the Year by both MaxPreps and Gatorade for 2023-24.
"Trent has had a great high school career and has shown himself to be a dynamic playmaker," said UCLA Head Coach Mick Cronin. "We're excited to have him join our team and contribute to our goal of competing for a national championship."
