I’ve been told that 6’9 2025 Harvard-Westlake senior Nik Khamenia will likely announce his college decision next week. Khamenia visited UCLA earlier this month, with Duke, Gonzaga, Arizona, and UNC still in the mix.
Recruiting notes:
UCLA
Nik indicated he built strong relationships with the Bruins coaching staff during his freshman and sophomore years, and Coach Cronin believes he could come in and contribute right away.
Duke
Nik has stated that Duke valued his versatility and recognized his potential as a key player.
Arizona
Nik played for Tommy Lloyd this summer and noted the similarities between Gonzaga and Arizona.
North Carolina
Nik previously mentioned that North Carolina had recruited him since his junior year and that he liked his visit.
Gonzaga
Gonzaga has been actively recruiting Nik since his sophomore year, and he’s established a strong connection with the coaching staff.
At Mesa's Pro16 Championships, Nik showed he can score from anywhere, create for teammates and guard multiple positions. Talked about his performance in front of Mick Cronin in Mesa here.
Khamenia reuniting with Trent Perry, former CIF State champs together at Harvard-Westlake, could fuel UCLA's quest for its 12th title.
