ESPN Way-Too-Early Poll: UCLA WBB #5

South Carolina, USC, UConn and Notre Dame round out the top 5.

The UCLA Bruins are generating serious buzz with their #5 ranking in ESPN's way-too-early preseason poll. A big part of that buzz is the way Coach Cori Close replenished her roster with some savvy moves in the portal. Charlisse Leger-Walker, our #8 ranked player in the transfer portal, is a huge get to replace the departed Charisma Osborne (Phoenix Mercury). The Bruins also added Timea Gardiner, our #7 ranked player in the portal, to the squad. Gardiner is a 6-3 sophomore from Oregon State that brings tenacious rebounding and three-point shooting to the forward spot.
